6 feet high heavy-duty GI Pole
System description
- The bathing point is owned by Sri Lanka Forest Department and the project was funded by United Nations Development Project. The premises were in a remote area which was completely off the grid.
- The lights were installed to light up the bathing point and the path towards it. Lights operate automatically and no human intervention is required for system maintenance.
Design Considerations
- The area is prone to seasonal floods and hence, we used heavy duty GI bars to fabricate the mounting poles. Ensured that the poles will not get corroded due to moisture.
- A lighting simulation was conducted using DiaLUX to select the ideal locations for placing the poles. The simulation reports were presented to the client before signing the contract of the project.
Advantages of the system
- Solar lighting systems are easy to install and do not require any electrical wiring or external power sources, making them ideal for remote locations or areas where electricity is not readily available.
- Solar lighting systems use LED bulbs that are highly energy-efficient and require less energy to produce the same amount of light as traditional lighting systems.
